ELI Foundation opens branch offices in China
In April 2018, ELI Foundation opened two branch offices in China: in Shanghai and Nanjing – the capital of the Jiangsu Province. Some of foundation’s representatives will also reside in Beijing and Yixing in order to better assist local partners. With its foreign base, ELI Foundation hopes to expand its education programs in Asia and launch new projects in cooperation with Chinese schools, universities and other educational associations.
Official representatives of ELI in China will be responsible for designing long-term marketing plans, management of local recruitment agencies, organisation of local events, establishment and maintenance of relationships with local schools and assistance with implementation of the American curriculum. They will also provide prospective students and their families with advice on studying in the US, help them select the most suitable university from the network of foundation’s partners and assist them with their applications.
Opening of the new offices coincides with the launch of new ELI projects in China: American High School Projects run in cooperation with Jiaotong University and Education Group and Beijing Foreign Language University; and “2+2” joint degree program with Beijing Foreign Language University.
With its subsidiaries in China, ELI Foundation will support Chinese and American institutions in establishing cooperation and learning from each other in order to create even more educational opportunities for students from both countries.
