Science is natural for ELI students!
ELI students toured the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, the largest such institution in the southeast US, in Raleigh Oct. 3. Students explored interactive exhibits, including being able to touch the skeleton of a colossal Right whale, and took a biodiversity tour. They learned new English vocabulary and expressions related to the natural sciences and were challenged to put that knowledge to use. Read more.
ELI students get artistic!
ELI students toured the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University Sep. 16 to learn more about American culture and history through art. The museum currently features exhibits related to the American South. Students were guided by a knowledgeable docent who provided information and answered questions. Read more.
New Student Resource Center!
ELI has expanded the Student Resource Center. The SRC, located in Suite 240 on the ELI campus, contains a library of study materials covering every ELI learning objective, student workstations with new Chromebooks and access to ELI’s Wi-Fi, video conferencing facilities, and other information technologies, to ensure every student has the best training experience throughout their program.
